We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. Use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g., name, address, or email addresses) is collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis, where possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

Collection of general information

When you access our website, general information is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, and similar data. This information is exclusively of a general nature and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your identity. This information is technically necessary to correctly deliver the website content you request and is automatically generated when using the internet. We statistically analyze this anonymous information to optimize our website and the underlying technology.

Data collection when visiting the website

When you use our website for purely informational purposes, we only collect data that your browser transmits to our server (so-called “server log files”). When you access our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display the website to you:

  • The visited website
  • Date and time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/referrer from which you accessed this page
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used (possibly in anonymized form)

The processing is carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data will not be disclosed or used for any other purpose. However, we reserve the right to subsequently review the server log files should there be concrete indications of unlawful use.

Purposes of data processing

We will process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • to provide you with this website and to further improve and develop this website
  • in order to be able to create usage statistics
  • to detect, prevent and investigate attacks on our website
  • to answer your inquiries
  • to process your bookings

Legal basis of the processing

Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of Section 96 Paragraph 3 of the German Telecommunications Act (TKG) and Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a (consent) and/or f (legitimate interest) of the GDPR.
Our legitimate interest within the meaning of the GDPR is the improvement of our services and our website. Because the privacy of our users is important to us, user data is pseudonymized.

Deletion or blocking of the data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data minimization. Therefore, we only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as required by the various retention periods stipulated by law. Once the respective purpose ceases to apply or these periods expire, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with legal regulations.

Cookies

To make your visit to our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. We use cookies to provide certain functionalities on the pages and to learn how we can further improve our service for our users.

What is a cookie?
Cookies are text files, usually consisting of letters and numbers, that are stored on the user’s computer when visiting certain websites. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the browser session ends, i.e., after you close your browser (session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and allow us or our partner companies (third-party cookies) to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). When cookies are set, they collect and process certain user information, such as browser and location data, as well as IP addresses, to varying degrees. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a predetermined period, which can vary depending on the cookie.

Cookies cannot be used to run programs or transmit viruses to a computer. The information contained in cookies allows us to facilitate your navigation and ensure our websites are displayed correctly.

Some cookies are essential for the functionality of the website and are automatically activated when users visit it. Other cookies allow us to offer users services and features that best meet their needs and to tailor our service to ensure easy and quick operation.

We may work with advertising partners who help us make our website more interesting for you. For this purpose, cookies from partner companies (third-party cookies) may also be stored on your hard drive when you visit our website. If we work with the aforementioned advertising partners, you will find information about this in the privacy policy.

Please note that you can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are being set, allowing you to decide whether to accept them individually, or to block cookies in certain cases or entirely. Each browser manages cookie settings differently. This is described in the help menu of each browser, which explains how to change your cookie settings. You can find this information for the respective browsers at the following links:

Contact form

If you contact us by email or contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your request and for any follow-up questions. Your data will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
You can revoke this consent at any time. Revocation means that we will no longer process your data for the aforementioned purposes from that point forward. To revoke your consent, please contact info@jenbacherhof.at

When you use a form on our website, we store your IP address. This is solely for the purpose of fulfilling our legal obligation to provide evidence.

Encrypted payment transactions on this website

If, after concluding a paid contract, you are required to provide us with your payment details (e.g., bank account number for direct debit), this data is necessary for processing your payment.
Payments using common payment methods (Visa/MasterCard, direct debit) are processed exclusively via an encrypted SSL or TLS connection. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address bar changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock icon in your browser’s address bar.

With encrypted communication, your payment details that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, due to the activation of IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity, and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to fully utilize all the functions of this website. Furthermore, you can prevent Google from collecting and processing data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: Browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics.

In addition to or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages:

Disable data collection by Google Analytics for this website

This will install an opt-out cookie on your device. This will prevent Google Analytics from collecting data for this website and this browser in the future, as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

Order data processing

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the Austrian data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

IP anonymization

We use the “Activate IP anonymization” function on this website. This means that your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Use of script libraries (Google Webfonts)

Calling up script or font libraries automatically establishes a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible – though currently unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes – that the operators of such libraries collect data.

The library operator Google’s privacy policy can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Use of Google Maps

This website uses the Google Maps API to visually display geographical information. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes, and uses data about visitors’ use of the map functions. You can find more information about data processing by Google in the Google Privacy Policy. There, you can also change your personal privacy settings in the Privacy Center.

Detailed instructions on managing your data in connection with Google products can be found here.

Embedded YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. This informs YouTube which pages you are visiting. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can associate your browsing behavior with you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.
When a YouTube video is started, the provider sets cookies that collect information about user behavior.

If you have disabled cookies for the Google Ads program, you will not encounter any such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personally identifiable usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block cookies in your browser settings.

Further information on data protection at “YouTube” can be found in the provider’s privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Use of Google Adwords conversion tracking

We use the online advertising program “Google AdWords” and, within Google AdWords, conversion tracking. Google Conversion Tracking is an analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). When you click on an ad placed by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is stored on your computer. These cookies expire after 30 days, do not contain any personally identifiable information, and are therefore not used for personal identification.

When you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, there is no way for cookies to be tracked across the websites of different AdWords customers.

The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. This allows customers to see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by preventing the installation of cookies through a corresponding setting in your browser software (opt-out option). You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. Further information and Google’s privacy policy can be found at: http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/, http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

Your rights to information, rectification, blocking, erasure and objection

You have the right to request information about your personal data stored by us at any time. You also have the right to rectification, blocking, or, apart from mandatory data retention for business transactions, erasure of your personal data. Please contact our data protection officer for this purpose. You will find the contact details at the bottom of this page.

To ensure that a data block can be implemented at any time, this data must be kept in a block file for verification purposes. You can also request the deletion of your data, provided there is no legal obligation to retain it. If such an obligation exists, we will block your data upon request.

You can make changes or revoke your consent by notifying us accordingly, with effect for the future.

Changes to our privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy from time to time to ensure it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services, such as the introduction of new services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
